About Gut Compass Reviews
Gut Compass Reviews is an independent consumer-research publication. We review dietary supplements sold online and report what the label, the checkout page and the published research actually say.
Who we are
Our reviews are written and maintained by the Gut Compass Editorial Team. We are a small editorial team, not a medical practice. No one on the team is presented as a physician, pharmacist, dietitian or licensed clinician, and we never write as if we were.
We are not affiliated with any manufacturer. No brand pays to appear here, no brand reads a review before it is published, and no brand can have a published finding changed or removed.
What we do — and what we do not do
We do not take the products. Our reviews are editorial analyses, not personal experiences, and every review states this in its methodology table. We do not write “I tried it” because we did not.
Every review is built from sources you can open and check yourself:
- The label. The supplement facts panel, ingredient by ingredient, from the best public source available — and we say which source it was.
- The real checkout. We follow the official order flow to the payment page so we can report the packages, the prices on the day we looked and any recurring charges.
- The refund terms. The guarantee window, who pays return shipping, whether a return authorization is required, and how to contact the seller.
- The published research. We search PubMed and ClinicalTrials.gov for the finished formula as well as its individual ingredients, and we say plainly when no study of the formula exists.
- Independent records. Public complaint and review platforms, and whether the numbers there can actually be checked.
The three labels we use
Every line of our methodology table carries one of three labels:

| Verified | We read it ourselves at the primary source, and we give the date we read it. |
| Judgment call | The evidence is incomplete or points both ways. We show you the evidence and tell you the conclusion is our reading. |
| Not published | We looked for it and it is not publicly available. An absence we found is itself a finding. |
How our scores work
Where a review carries a score, it is an editorial judgment and it is ours alone. We do not copy the star ratings a brand shows on its own sales page, and we do not publish an aggregate customer rating we did not collect ourselves. We do not publish testimonials.
How we are funded
This site is funded by affiliate commissions. When you buy through a link in one of our reviews, the seller may pay us a commission. The price you pay is exactly the same.
The commission is identical whether a review is favorable or not, so nothing about our income depends on inflating a score or leaving out a problem. We do not accept paid placements, sponsored reviews or free products in exchange for coverage. Our advertising and affiliate disclosure explains this in full.
Corrections
Prices change, sellers rewrite refund pages and labels get reformulated. Every fact we verify carries the date we verified it, so you can see how current it is.
If you find something wrong or out of date, write to contact@gutcompassreviews.online. We check the claim against the primary source, correct the page itself and add a note saying what changed and when. We do not quietly edit a page and pretend the earlier version never existed.
What this site is not
- It is not medical advice. Nothing here diagnoses, treats, cures or prevents any disease. Whether a supplement suits you depends on your health and your medications, and only your doctor or pharmacist can answer that.
- It is not a store. We do not sell anything or process payments, and we cannot access, change or refund an order. See our contact page for where to go instead.
- It is not sponsored content. No brand pays for coverage, a score or a link.
